Diagnostics
Every one of these is also a button under the selected node — same key, same edit to the text. The key that sets a state takes it off again; esc only closes things and never changes your text. In the editor, after an arrow, a , or | and inside [after …], the names that can stand there are listed at the caret: tab or enter takes one, esc closes the list.
Text is the source of truth — the map is what it compiles to. One invariant: every arrow points at what justifies or gates the thing on its left.
